11-year-old Javad Posheh was shot in the back of his head with live ammunition fired by security forces during a violent crackdown on a protest taking place after Friday prayers outside a police station and near a large prayer site on September 30, 2022 in Zahedan. It is said that the bullet exited through his right cheek leaving a large gaping hole.
Zahedan, capital city of southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, has been the scene of weekly protests every Friday since the beginning of Woman, Life, Freedom Revolution. The security forces have been using live ammunition on unarmed protestors and have killed dozens of children in Zahedan alone.
