On November 22, 2022, Mehdi Kaboli Kafshgiri from Gorgan, in Iran’s Golestan province, was killed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The 15 year-old was captured and beaten by IRGC security forces while he participating in peaceful protests. The violent beatings resulted in Mehdi falling into a coma and dying less than one week later.
