On September 21, 2022, 15-year-old Mohammad Zamani was shot in the chest by security forces in Saveh, Iran.
Witness reports state that he was mainly on the side of the street helping protesters. He was seen lighting pieces of paper and blowing smoke into protesters eyes, a tactic to help avoid eye irritation caused by tear gas.
